TRAVEL VACCINATION POLICY

Effective immediately, all guest booked to travel are required to be fully vaccinated to travel.

The wellbeing of our guests is our top priority. As part of this commitment, all guests traveling through December 31, 2022 are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, which may include a booster shot to keep the vaccination status current and valid, depending on the travel destination. Children not eligible for vaccination and/or booster at the time of travel must provide a verifiable and negative Covid-19 test result, taken within 72 hours prior to the start of the tour (taking time zones into consideration) for all tours departing until December 31, 2022.

For guests traveling from 1 January 2023, Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters are highly recommended, but no longer required.

Please note that regardless of time of travel guests will need to comply with specific vaccine and/or booster requirements imposed by airlines and/or authorities in the destination visited, as well as requirements for accessing restaurants and venues, which may be more restrictive than above. It is guests’ responsibility to ensure that they comply at all times with these requirements. No refunds will be given if guests are unable to undertake some or all of their vacation due to their failure to comply with these requirements.

It is hard to grasp how much our world has changed due to COVID-19 and the impact it has had on our everyday lives and our ability to travel. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate through these challenging times together.

 Suspended Tours

As we continue to live and operate alongside COVID-19, the virus continues to create a set of challenges that are unfortunately outside of our control. We continue to review the travel restrictions imposed by government advisories worldwide on a daily basis.

Should your tour be impacted and unable to operate, your booking agent will contact you directly approximately 45-60 days prior to your tour’s planned start date. 

If your booked tour is suspended, please rest assured that you have a Future Travel Credit (FTC) automatically available to you for the full value of the land portion of your tour, to use for travel before 31 December 2022.

You are eligible to either:

• Rebook now, and change your travel dates or destination to any tour departing up until 31 December 2022 without penalty on the land portion of your tour. Any discounts (of up to 15%) that had been applied to your original booking will be transferred and applied to your new booking.*

OR

• Elect to hold a Future Travel Credit of the full amount paid for land portion of the suspended vacation, redeemable against any new booking for travel to any destination departing before December 31, 2022.**

Future Travel Credits can be redeemed with any TTC brand (Trafalgar, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises or U by Uniworld River Cruises) on any destination or tour for travel before 31 December 2022. To give you maximum flexibility, you can also choose to transfer your Future Travel Credit to a friend or family member. 

All Future Travel Credits will be valid for 24 months from date of issue.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to all who have been impacted by this unprecedented, ongoing global crisis and we want you to know that the wellbeing of our guests and our teams has always been – and will always be – our first priority.
We are here and want to help you. Due to government mandates our offices are now closed, and our teams working from home. The volume of calls is immense, and this change has impacted our already stretched service levels.
Have peace of mind knowing that there is no urgency for you to make any future travel decisions right now, your trip can be postponed and rebooked without any penalty, with these below options available to you.

SUSPENDED CRUISES
Due to ongoing uncertainty, spiking cases of COVID-19, and in accordance with travel restrictions imposed by government advisories worldwide, Uniworld River Cruises has suspended all cruises departing up and until 31st March 2021.

Please see below our options for your consideration.
1. Full Refund
Of course you are fully entitled to a full refund. Please note that with current restrictive workings and the high volume of cancellations, refund payment may take up to 60 days. We will issue you with a refund credit note which is protected under the CAA/ATOL scheme for packages including flights and the ABTA scheme for packages without flight. The refund credit note can also be exchanged for future travel up until the refund has been processed. For this option please call reservations on 0808 168 9110 so we may obtain your bank details to process this.

2. Rebooking with price protection
If you would like to rebook we are delighted to offer you price protection for your package for any 2021 or 2022 cruise on similar cruise during a similar sailing period based on your current booking. Money paid directly to Uniworld will be transferred over onto the new booking and we will take care of any airline fees. Discounts/promotional offers/prices applied and quoted at the original time of booking will be protected. New bookings will also be fully ABTA/ATOL protected.

3. Future Travel Credit
If you aren’t sure which dates you would like to book we can also offer a future travel credit with an extra 10% bonus credit. FTC is redeemable on any 2021 or 2022 departure and valid until December 31st 2022. FTC may also be accepted as travel credit to redeem with any of our sister brands belonging to the Travel Corporation Group Ltd. This will allow guests to fully consider a wide variety of travel alternatives in both the international and UK luxury travel market. Extensions will be added to the FTC based on the amount paid. (10% bonus credit will be applied as a discount)

Have peace of mind knowing you have the flexibility to change your cruise departure date, free of charge until 60 days prior to departure. Airlines may have different policies and penalty charges, any and all of which are your responsibility*.
Please also rest assured that our distancing and hygiene protocols on all of our cruises meet requirements put forth by world health and local authorities, including the World Health Organization (WHO). Our new well-being approach adheres to the global safety protocols from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and is recognized by the WTTC Safe Travels stamp, which outlines global safety and hygiene for Travel & Tourism, designed specifically to address COVID-19. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the World Health Organization and government health bodies, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

We ask that you please take personal responsibility for your wellbeing. This begins with packing any personal protective equipment and sanitizers you require. Please adopt physical distancing and hygiene practices throughout your pre-trip travel arrangements and follow all health instruction whether physical signage, or requests from our professional staff, once you are vacationing with us.

Future Travel Credits are Transferable
Can I use my Future Travel Credit on a vacation with a different company?
Your Future Travel Credit is valid on any brand within The Travel Corporation (TTC) which includes Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Trafalgar, Costsaver, Contiki, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, U River Cruises and Red Carnation Hotels. Whatever your taste, whatever your pace, we have a travel style that will suit your needs and desires.

Do I need to use the full value of my Future Travel Credit all at once? What happens if there is money left over after I apply my Future Travel Credit? Can I only use my Future Travel Credit on a trip? Can I use my Future Travel Credit to bring other people with me on my next vacation?
Your Future Travel Credit can be used on any priced trip. If your new trip is less than your future travel credit amount, you can keep the remainder as an Future Travel Credit for another trip in the future. Or, you may add on airfare, pre or post night hotels or prepaid gratuities. Credits can also be used across multiple guests or bookings, so you can bring family or friends with you on your next trip.

Can I give/transfer my Future Travel Credit to someone else?
Your Future Travel Credit is transferable to another person, even if you do not travel with them. If you would like to gift your Future Travel Credit to another individual, please just send an email with your booking number, the amount of your Future Travel Credit you would like to transfer (if not all) and the name of the individual you would like to be the beneficiary of the funds. If they do not have a booking yet, please just let us know and we will create one which will be their reference for their Future Travel Credit.

*The temporary change fee waiver only applies to the land portion of all trips and does not apply to group bookings. If you choose a trip or departure that is more expensive than the original, you are responsible for the difference in price; if the trip or departure is less expensive than the original, a Future Travel Credit will be issued for the difference. Please note however, you are responsible for any airline penalties imposed due to trip changes and/or cancellations.

** If you select this option, the new invoice will serve as the Future Travel Credit confirmation. A Future Travel Credit will be issued in the value of the amount paid for the land portion of the trip and is not redeemable for cash. The Future Travel Credit amount will stay assigned to the original booking number and can be transferred to another person. To redeem the Future Travel Credit, just give us the booking reference number when calling to make the new reservation departing at any time before December 31, 2022. If the new trip or departure is more expensive than the original, you will be responsible for the difference in price; if the new trip or departure is less expensive than the original, a Future Travel Credit will be issued for the difference. Discounts applied to the original booking will be transferred to the new booking up to 15%. These transferred discounts are not combinable with any land promotions available at time of booking the new trip. If discounts of more than 15% are available at time of booking, then the transferred discounts can be removed. Please note that you are responsible for any airline penalties imposed due to trip changes and/or cancellations. This offer may be withdrawn at any time and other restrictions may apply.
