The well-being and vacation enjoyment of our guests is the paramount priority. All of our brands remain active with high hygiene standards, and the additional preventative on-trip protocol implemented and will continue to follow advice from government advisories and remains in touch with all our on-the-ground suppliers.
Effective immediately, all guest booked to travel are required to be fully vaccinated to travel.
The wellbeing of our guests is our top priority. As part of this commitment, all guests traveling through December 31, 2022 are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, which may include a booster shot to keep the vaccination status current and valid, depending on the travel destination. Children not eligible for vaccination and/or booster at the time of travel must provide a verifiable and negative Covid-19 test result, taken within 72 hours prior to the start of the tour (taking time zones into consideration) for all tours departing until December 31, 2022.
For guests traveling from 1 January 2023, Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters are highly recommended, but no longer required.
Please note that regardless of time of travel guests will need to comply with specific vaccine and/or booster requirements imposed by airlines and/or authorities in the destination visited, as well as requirements for accessing restaurants and venues, which may be more restrictive than above. It is guests’ responsibility to ensure that they comply at all times with these requirements. No refunds will be given if guests are unable to undertake some or all of their vacation due to their failure to comply with these requirements.
This policy is subject to change at any time, without notice.
It is hard to grasp how much our world has changed due to COVID-19 and the impact it has had on our everyday lives and our ability to travel. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate through these challenging times together.
Suspended Tours
As we continue to live and operate alongside COVID-19, the virus continues to create a set of challenges that are unfortunately outside of our control. We continue to review the travel restrictions imposed by government advisories worldwide on a daily basis.
Should your tour be impacted and unable to operate, your booking agent will contact you directly approximately 45-60 days prior to your tour’s planned start date.
If your booked tour is suspended, please rest assured that you have a Future Travel Credit (FTC) automatically available to you for the full value of the land portion of your tour, to use for travel before 31 December 2022.
You are eligible to either:
• Rebook now, and change your travel dates or destination to any tour departing up until 31 December 2022 without penalty on the land portion of your tour. Any discounts (of up to 15%) that had been applied to your original booking will be transferred and applied to your new booking.*
OR
• Elect to hold a Future Travel Credit of the full amount paid for land portion of the suspended vacation, redeemable against any new booking for travel to any destination departing before December 31, 2022.**
Future Travel Credits can be redeemed with any TTC brand (Trafalgar, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises or U by Uniworld River Cruises) on any destination or tour for travel before 31 December 2022. To give you maximum flexibility, you can also choose to transfer your Future Travel Credit to a friend or family member.
All Future Travel Credits will be valid for 24 months from date of issue.
We have departures on all of our Exclusive Vacation Packages for 2022, giving travelers more options to choose their new departure dates from. For the vast majority of 2021 re-bookings, we are able to get travelers on the exact same safari, without a price increase for travel within the same season. Price increases and fees can be expected for other safaris in 2022 and 2023.
Note that country regulations are changing frequently. In general, wearing masks in public and maintaining social distancing is required wherever you go. Failure to follow these protocols can result in fines. We have made efforts to keep these guidelines as up to date as possible, but there are sometimes communication delays from the authorities in Africa. You may find information supplied by different government sites may vary at times, so be sure to check for the most recent local updates too.

Be aware that in addition to the country requirements above, certain airlines may require a negative PCR test before allowing you on a flight, even if one is not required to exit a country in Africa. Certain airlines do not accept cloth masks, and require travelers to wear surgical / KN95 masks while flying. Speak with one of our Africa Specialists to discuss what airline requirements may affect your travels.
In addition to the above requirements, know that there are restrictions and possible quarantine requirements in place for when you return home from a foreign country.
All travelers returning to / entering Canada must use the ArriveCAN app to provide their receipt of proof of vaccination and a record of their travel plans. A negative PCR COVID-19 test, taken within 72 hours of arrival into Canada, or a Rapid Antigen Test taken within 1 day of arrival into Canada (and authorized by the country where it was purchased and administered by a laboratory, healthcare team or telehealth service) is required. If you are symptomatic or not fully vaccinated, you will need to include a 14-day quarantine plan in your ArriveCAN app details. Even if fully vaccinated, you may be selected for a randomised COVID-19 test upon arrival in Canada and will have to quarantine until a negative test result is received in Canada.
